OK... so the two short onions are the ones I originally placed in the water when I first started this project. I cut down the green and will use them to garnish my sort of revamped beef and wine sauce which I'll probably post tomorrow or the next day. I also trimmed the roots on all four onionsand placed them in fresh water. Now time will tell if the first two will sprout a second time. And I'll let you know how my green onion garnish tastes!
